These products are based on the adventures my long lost relative, Miss Ada Rotbeest. Not long ago I discovered her old travel journals and found she was an accomplished monster scholar who traveled the world in the mid 19th century. During her expeditions, Ada had the good fortune of personally encountering several beasts thought to be purely mythological. She found that many of these monsters had quite pleasant and unusual odors which she found fascinating. Ada recorded these scents in her journal, replicating them through essential oils and natural materials. These very same scents have been perfectly recreated by the minds at Starborn Alchemy and are now available to you as various scented products. For your enjoyment, we have included excerpts from Ada’s journal to correspond with each Monster scent.
" I have traveled the lush, green earth most of my life, seen so many terrible and wonderful things. I have tried to keep a record of such wonders so that others may experience what I have seen and felt, even if it is only through the dry confines of my written words. I have been caught by the wind of a demon’s wing, felt the searing heat of the Phoenix, outran an irate Kelpie or two and have inhaled the sweet breath of a Fae’s kiss, just to name a few mishaps and adventures. I have even lost my very own eye to the quill of a Manticore and left pieces of myself in the belly of a Cockatrice (nasty little things!). Now I write old, fat and happy thinking back on what was and hoping that someday , my efforts will be discovered and enjoyed by future enthusiasts of Monsterkind….”
